International Language Education Falling Through the Cracks

The Canadian government has announced a wide range of programs throughout the global pandemic, but none of these programs addresses the critical issues facing language programs geared towards international students. Simply put, international language education is falling entirely through the cracks, and unless action is taken, it's headed towards total devastation. A recent survey determined that without immediate government action, 68% of Canada's finest English and French programs will close permanently in the next six months.

Trade Mission sets footprint in Southeast Asia, aiming for diversification

A record number of first-time member attendees were in Thailand and Vietnam for the first Languages Canada Trade Mission of 2020! Languages Canada completes successful trade mission to Russia and Ukraine

Languages Canada – Canada’s national association for English and French language education programs in Canada – has just wrapped up a successful trade mission to Moscow and Kyiv which brought together 19 LC member programs and 34 high quality education agencies from Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Poland. Close to 700 B2B meetings took place between participating LC members and attending agencies during the week-long mission.
